While Oblivion is a great game to play by yourself, it lacks the most important component, in my opinion; online mutliplayer capability.
I have played countless games and every one of them that does not have the online mulitplayer capability were fun for a short period of time but never held my interest longer than a few days, maybe a few months, but could never compete with online games.
I played an online game back in the early ninties and it was a text only game called and LPMUD... even without graphics it was an amazing game that kept me interested for a few years because of the online multiplayer capability.
World of Warcraft is the best online gaming experience I have come across. That is what makes it worth the time and money to play. It is hard to get tired of playing it because there is always something new to explore. The game is constantly changing; new areas are released periodically, you meet different people and develop different strategies depending on who is available and online to play with. The game is never the same.
Without a doubt, in my opinion, World of Warcraft will always be better than a game like Oblivion where the environment doesn't change and there is no multiplayer capability.

properly in the previous each thing you sound like an indie gamer yet once you searching for some greater superior video games i might pass with wow or skyrim, minecraft is surely relaxing you could play unmarried or with acquaintances and attempt group citadel 2 its super loose and has no back tale witch i savor.

I think WOW is better,plus the Burning Crusade expansion is about to come out in January.

well WOW or world of warcraft is an online MMORPG game which is highly addicting and if you like RPG's then go for it :)
