It looks ike a coconut and when you add water it opens up to show it's flower. When the water drys out, it goes back to original state! At first i thougght it to be called the rose of jerusalem, but i can't find anything under this name, someone please help!

i think it' the rose of Jericho,if you place it in a saucer of water it opens take it out and it closes,it's actually a dead part of a plant the water act's on the dry fibres and makes them expand when they dry out they contract ,the same as a pine cone

Rose of jerico I have two.Mine has never flowered it goes green &
looks lovely.
