For example, there will porobably not be a remake of "Gone with the Wind" as well loved as the original.
"Forbidden Planet" a Sci Fi classic, could probably use a well made remake.

No classics should be remade, nothing will be as good as the original. There's nothing like the original black and whites- Bogart, Monroe, Grant, - ORIGINALS NOT TO BE TOUCHED!!! GREASE should not be touched either!! (I know totally on the other spectrum, but come on its GREASE)
I think any sci-fi movie could be done........ ex: War of the Worlds SO much better new.... we have the special effects now to do anything!

2001 A Space Odyssey has not been remade and probably never will be. The techniques used when it was made (1968? or so) did not include any electronic or digital imagery or editing, everything you saw was actually constructed or photographed using creative camera trickery. To remake the movie would cheapen the original, which in my opinion should not be done.

Remakes are almost always the result of the utter lack of creativity in the modern entertainment industry. Remakes, sequels, movies based on comic books, video games, old TV shows. Originality is becoming increasingly rare.
What's more, any movie that ends up being remade is one that was good enough the first time around and doesn't need their "improvements."

Anyone trying to remake The Godfather should be shot! The original and part 2 are masterpieces.

I used to think of a action picture had to be approximately 30 years old till now it would be seen for a remake, such because of the fact the Texas Chainsaw bloodbath or King Kong. yet now it style of looks like they are able to remake a action picture this is a trifling 2 many years old, like entire remember.

Never remake good originals. They are ALWAYS rubbish!
