Why do men refuse to wear hats and scarves when its freezing outside?

I see men wearing hats and scarves all the time. Not sure what location you referring to. I would imagine that some men may see it as feminine. I know I have never seen my Father wear a hat and a scarf. I do. My cousins do. Hmmmmmm. you ask a great question. Maybe Machismo. '-)

I'm a man from Chicago, and I always wear a hat and scarf in cold weather. If we don't, our ears freeze off. My wife doesn't ever wear a hat, she says it messes up her hairdo.

i am a boy and i dont used a hat in my whole life . its because i hate hat it makes me look stupid and ruins my hairs. i prefer freezing to use a hat . but i dont have problem with sport hats

I prefer a Toboggan they much warmer than a hat and I grow a beard to keep my face warm.

I wear a scarf. I dont like hats, it has nothing to do with looks.

Because men's skin is thicker that women's and thus they might dont need extra clothes when women need them.

When a man says he doesn't need it, it just he doesn't need it and that's all.
