I see no reason for you not to do what you want. We have Christmas eve dinner at my in-laws & Christmas day dinner at my husbands grandmother's. We have a party at our house the week of Christmas for everyone on my side of the family. If you want to make your Christmas dinner on Christmas eve, go right ahead. Maybe you could start a new tradition.
Merry Christmas & happy Birthday

Well, i wouldnt combine Christmas dinner with his birthday. If you do, then you should just do the big dinner on Christmas day. But if you really want to make him a dinner on Christmas eve. Make it an small but intimate one with candles and dim lighting and its only for the two of you.

So why not make his favorite meal on his birthday and do some of your Christmas cooking that night too?

My mother in law and I start cooking for any holiday the day before. It cuts down on the stress.

Besides, won't you seem like the ultra-cool girlfriend when you go out of your way to make something JUST for him? :) Imagine how special he will feel.
