Either your thermostat controls in the second zone are set incorrectly or are not working (check batteries). OR the second zone valve is broken or at least a component of it is.

Did anyone mess with the controls recently? If so thats seems a likely place to start. If nothing was changed recently then you may need to call in someone to troubleshoot.

The unit can respond to only one zone at a time. If the zone calling for heat doesn't reach the set temp. the other unit won't come on. If the temp is reached, check the stat for the second zone.

The zone valve is the problem. Either it is stuck or the coil went out. It might be the thermostat also. The tranaformer might have given up but it is unlikely.
