In case it does not allow you to download something, you may have noticed a white bar telling that IE prevented the site from downloading something onto your computer for security reasons. All you have to do is to click on that bar, and then select 'Allow downloads from this site'. That will do!

your problem is probably with the yellow bar that appears at the top of the browser page, when you want to download any file, when the internet page is trying to install an active-x component or an addon, or even when a popup page is blocked by internet explorer.

all you have to do (when you try to download a file and it doesn't work) is to look for this bar, click on it, and select the "Download the file" option.

Enjoy ;)

It may have something to do with the security settings! Go to Tools and click Internet Options, click Security tab and check level. You may have to customize it to allow for the download on the sites you are trying to access. Good Luck!

I had the same problem, and I ended up removing the IE7. I guess there have been numerous people who have had to do the same thing. Maybe if you have the time to contact microsoft , they can give you some hints. I didn't like the new IE7.

Switch to Mozilla Firefox. I gave up on IE 3 years ago and with Firefox life on line is soooooooo much nicer. No virus has hit me, no more porn pop ups, no more of any of the hundreds of aggravations I had with IE.
