I'm not a loner. I am highly independent.

You probably are, as well. If you were a loner, you wouldn't care enough to ask the question.

College is a rite of passage. Find your true self and develop it. Don't worry about the others. If you are happy with yourself, you will attract great people!

Three years out of four as a loner sounds like a pattern. I enjoy my solitude and alone time, but it's nice to have friends to call on when I want to socialize. It's your choice whether you make friends or not, you have to open up and be friendly so others will want to be around you. But then again you are at school to get an education, so that may be what you need to do at this point in your life.

It depends. During school I hate being a loner because it's always nice to have friends to talk to if something happens, but for the most part I like my space.

it has its merits however during holidays,or when you feel the need to branch out, socialize and celebrate it becomes sad and frustrating. Most of the artists and great thinkers were loners, because they wanted to separate from common man in order to ascend higher, however I believe there should always be a balance in ones life between one extreme and the other,we all need time and space to be with ourselves just to hear our inner voice speak and regenerate and then we need times when we have a network of friends around us,even if its just a few close buds its better then none.We are social beings and being a loner is not really the natural state of mankind.

Yes I prefer to be alone, less aggravation, hassel and drama. And whats wrong with your own company if you can't stand to be alone who else will enjoy your company if you can't even enjoy. If you feel isolated, go out there, take a chance strike up a conversation but please by all means stop the pity party that is not cool.

I like being alone in the house, having it all to myself for a little while, but I don't like being an actual loner. Give yourself time, talk to people, maybe you won't be alone all the time.

No, I hate it. I keep pen pals handy when I can't make friends where I am. Good luck with college. ^_^
