I went to the doctor Tuesday because I was having really bad nausea ( I thought it was just morning sickness) they ran some tests on me and told me that I had a really bad kidney infection. They gave me a shot for the infection in my hip. Wednesday they asked me to come back to check and see if it had helped any. They gave me another shot in my hip. They also gave me some pills to take. Is this okay? Will the shots hurt the baby or anything? Has anyone else had one? Tell me about your experience and how you felt. If your wondering (It's my first pregnancy and I don't know what to expect.)

honey if it was going to effect the baby then they would not give it to you without telling you that first. don't worry. if you need to make yourself feel better call the doctor and ask him if the shots and the pills will hurt the baby. im sure he will tell you it won't. feel better and congrats on the baby.

This never happened to me and I am not a doctor. That being said kidney infections are dangerous and notoriously difficult to get rid of. I'm sure whatever they gave you is safe for the baby they know you are pregnant. If I were you I would ask if you should be on preventative drugs for kidney infections during your pregnancy. I have a friend who gets them, is pregnant and they give her something to prevent her from getting them. I also have a young daughter who has a urinary tract reflux that is on daily medication to prevent urinary tract infections because in her they can move easily to her kidneys. Regardless of weather they start you preventative meds there are some things you should do. You need to drink plenty of water. You also should be drinking a couple of cups of cranberry juice a day. Look for the highest concentration of actually juice in a product that you can find and use that. Try not to worry to much many people have had this problem. Good luck :)

When I found out I was pregnant with my daughter I had a kidney infection but they didn't give a shot they just gave an antibiotic that was safe to take while I was pregnant. If you are really concerned about whether or not they are safe to take check with a pharmacy they can tell you better then anyone what the side effects are the risks of taking them while you are pregnant.

All those are the biggest indications of being pregnant. as quickly as you're approximately 13 or 14 weeks the nausea could go away. the 1st time you're pregnant is the toughest on your physique.all the different indications probably won't go away till when you have the toddler.you would be happy you're feeling this form all it skill is each thing is shifting alongside like it may!!!! i'm 15 weeks and am now feeling around ligiment pains - the stretching of the muscle tissues to in effective condition the toddler- sucks yet is SO well worth it! stable luck and Congratulations!!!!!!

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.
