Jeter got screwed, who else think so ?. Its a simple yes or no answer and I don't need anti- Jeter fans bringing up all the stats in the league . Without Jeter the yanks would not have made the playoffs, thats the only stat I need.

LoL, Somebody better agree with me if they want 10 points. Nah, i have nothing against Morneau getting the I just like to see all you yankee haters get all upset. We've won so many championships that i'm not even sure how many we have, hopefully we get another won next year and if not i'll live. Either way, you yankee haters will still cry every year about the greatest frachise in sports. Well theirs still 10 pts up for grabs, somebody please convince me you deserve them. ;^>

He deserved to be the MVP, for sure. However, the decision has been made, and if Derek Jeter can get past it, maybe we all ought to do so as well and give the controversy a rest!!

Did Jeter get screwed, no. Should he have won, maybe. In the grand scheme of things, I think that an argument could be made either way. I will say that Jeter shouldn't have won the Gold Glove Award. I don't think that you can fairly say that they Yankees wouldn't have made the playoffs without Jeter. Who else would've won the East? Boston went to pieces, and Toronto probably would not have overtaken them, so yes, the Yankees probably would've still won the division by default. You are making it sound like Jeter was the only remotely talented player on the team. I understand that they had some injuries, but they also had guys like Melky Cabrera step up, and they also traded for Abreu as well. Also, if you don't want anti-Jeter fans bringing in stats to back up their points, you should be looking at the question with neutrality as well.

Jeter got screwed? You can certainly argue for Jeter, but what is the arguement against Morneau? He had better numbers on a worse team in a smaller market with much less protection. Without Morneau, the Twins would not have made the playoffs. That's the only stat I need.

Facts are alot better the stats. Jeter can win his MVP in some other time, but this year was Morneau
(Yet, another Yankee fan complaining almost a month after MVP)
NO WONDER PEOPLE KEEP TALKING ABOUT HOW ARROGANT YANKEE FANS ARE

YO JETER FANS:
JETER DID NOT WIN THE AWARD AND THERE IS NOT A THING THAT YOUR WHINING CAN CHANGE.
TO THE QUESTIONIER: IN ALL LIKELYHOOD, THE YANKEES WOULD HAVE MADE THE PLAYOFFS WITHOUT JETER. THE TWINS WOULD HAVE NO CHANCE AT ALL IN MAKING THE PLAYOFFS IF IT WEREN'T FOR MORNEAU. YOU ALSO JUST SAID THAT YOU WOULD PUT ORTIZ AHEAD OF JETER. PLEASE DON'T MAKE EVERYBODY STUPIDER BY ASKING QUESTIONS LIKE THESE.
ONE SIMPLE REQUEST: QUIT CRYING. JETER DID NOT GET SCREWED. THE VOTERS TAKE A HARD LOOK INTO WHO THEY VOTE FOR AND KNOW A THING OR TWO ABOUT BASEBALL.
BY THE WAY JAMES K: I DO LIKE JUSTIN MORNEAU

Hey numb nuts, you asked a question and then tell us that if we don't agree we don't get the points. Why ask the question if you've already made up your mind? Yes, Jeter should have won but he didn't...........so what? Move on. You're beating a dead horse. Anyway, at the end of the day, who cares. He doesn't pay my bills, if he did I'd be yelling at the top of my lungs! You state the obvious!!!!!

Jeter definitely should have won the MVP. Who, besides Jeter, could handle the pressure of playing the toughest position on the field, on the biggest stage on Earth and put up the stats he did?
Justin Morneau would not have been a regular starter on the Yankees. His own manager benched him in the middle of the season because he was not hitting. I'd like to know if there was ever an MVP that was benched for lack of production before this.
The whole voting process is a joke. You have these nerdy reporters, with the lifelong dream of getting a ballot to vote for this, and they turn it into their own personal vendetta, which is to screw with the New York Yankees.
It really doesn't matter anyway. Jeter and I are about championships, not individual awards. You know as well as I do, Jeter is not done winning championships.
DE-REK!!! JE-TER!!!

I'd love to have Jeter on my team, but he was surrounded by $200 million worth of talent. Morneau had a nice little singles hitter in Mauer, but that was it.
