Still want to claim income because I am unable to maintain a full time wage. However this will mean that I will not be claiming benifits which I need to live off. Can I do both work and claiming, if I am only working part time. I feel I can work a part time job not a full one, but need a full time wage to live off. Can I still claim income support that is shortened down and not totally cut off. And what work is there for a small woman that has been very unemployable due to having panic attacks most days?

Do cleaning for cash in hand for friends and people that don't know you are on benefits so they don't tell on you. Yes I know it is not legal, but it is not stealing, so there. Sometimes you do what you have to do and stuff what the goverment have to say about it. You are not taking anything from anyone.
Once you started 3 or 4 hours of work a day you may feel you are ready for full time and then stop claiming and go for full time job. Maybe look for something in a small and friendly company that doesn't bully and push around people, you don't want to get out of it with stress again.

Good luck

I don't think you can claim sick benefits if you're working, even part time. If you're on unemployment, you should be able to work part time (I think up to 20 hours a week) and still claim.

As to the type of work you should look for, how about cleaning? A job where you're not expected to deal with the public or encounter stressful situations or people.

I don't think you can earn much. What about attending a course to build up your skills andmaybe that way your self confidence with increase, you will be meeting people which will I am sure benefit you. Also consider voluntary work - anything to help you build up your social skills again and maybe learn something new. I wish you all the best.
