1) C because you only have to look at the terms with the highest degree so 2x/4x = 2/4 = 1/2

2) A. 2t + 5 take the derivative

3) B. 8 because 2*1.5 + 5 = 3 + 5 = 8

Number 1 is missing a piece of information. I need to know what x is approaching. It should say right under lim.

All you have to do for Number 2 is take the derivative of t²+5t-8 which is 2t+5.

Number 3, plug in 1.5 as the value for x for 2t+5.

2)
average rate of change of s with s=t²+5t-8 is:
ds/dt = v = d(t²+5t-8)/dt = 2t+5

letter (a)

3) when t = 1.5 s:
v(t) = 2t+5
v(1.5) = 2(1.5)+5
v(1.5) = 3+5 = 8

letter (b)

1. option C... as we divide by x throughout... anything upon infinty is zero. hence we get 2/4= 1/2.
2. option A.... as we have to calculate ds/dt.. so we have t o take the derivative of the given equation.
3. option B.... put t=1.5 in option A of above equation.
