Why not?

Of course I do. I think Genting has the capability to develop the Singapore resort.
When the casino & theme park opens , Malaysia's Genting theme park/casino will sure face stiff competition. And Singapore will make lots of money. Tourists will also visit it just in Singapore and does need to go all the way to genting(Malaysia).

But I like two only. One the genting..., the other is the eight wonders of the world... hehe :) Which one do you like better? The genting, or the others...? Do you agree that Genting is the winner?????

I think Genting (& Universal Studio) has the capability to develop the Singapore resort.
When the casino & theme park opens in 2008 & 2010, Malaysia's Genting theme park/casino will sure face stiff competition. Competition is good, let's see how they fare.

Dint they already win? You know, it was clear from the start that the winner would have to be Genting, because otherwise, they might just open a casino in Johor and everybody would go there instead of Singapore!

Singapore has chosen Malaysian firm Genting International to build and operate the nation's second casino.
The proposal by Genting and its sister firm, Star Cruises, was favoured over rival bids by Bahamas-based Kerzner and a consortium led by a Las Vegas firm.

Analysts said Genting's $3bn (£1.6bn) bid was expected to win because of its tourist-friendly plan to include a Universal Studios theme park.

i agree with eagle.. it takes about an hour by road from KL to Genting, but for Singapore it'll take about 20 mins by road to Sentosa island from the airport. I just couldn't help but think that the Sentosa version is gonna' totally rub the Malaysia one the wrong way, unless of course local Singaporeans continue to travel up there....

Genting design seems ordinary and lack creativity and originality. The design looks very much like the one in Genting Highlands.. And the Universal theme park is from US too............

I prefer Eight Wonder's proposal..
