After the midterms Limbaugh said "I feel liberated ... I no longer am gonna have to carry the water for people who I don’t think deserve having their water carried. But there have been a bunch of things going on in Congress some of this legislation coming out of there that I have just … I’ve cringed at."

So he voiced support for legislation and congressional activities only because it was supported by the Republican party and NOT because he believed the legislation was good for America.

He put the political viability of the GOP ahead of what he believed was good for the country.

In response, commentator Andrew Sullivan said: "I'm so sorry Rush had to lie through his teeth. Has he ever heard of intellectual honesty?"

How can any listener give credibility to anything that comes out of his mouth? Is he telling the truth or is he sacrificing the truth in order to protect politicians?

It is only lying if you interpret him ‘literally’, like Tony Snow. Rush is an entertainer, like the comedian who portrays George Bush, Rush portrays a glib fast-talking flim-flam drug addict turned conservative advocate and school drop-/flunk-out post-modern social philosopher.

Either that – or, he lied.

The man is an idiot and the people that lap up his distortions and hate are even worse.

Thankfully they are now in the minority, its time to (once again) put right their mistakes.
