The air moving around acts like a prism, so you see different colours. I'm not sure about pink though - maybe red or orange?
The colours of the rainbow are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo & violet - pink's not there. I suppose if the colour wasn't intense enough it could look pink?

Probably the star Sirius, the dog star, just behind Orion. The brightest star visable and due to atmospheric conditions can twinkle greatly and different colors seen. Usually white - blue white.

The twinkling is caused by the starlight refracting (being bent) by the air....
It is common when there are winds in the upper atmosphere, like just before or after a front comes through...

Because the heat of the atmosphere make changes the thickness of the air and the star will shimmer. As for the colors it can be any color.

The light from the stars you see are from gases burning. Different gases make different colors.
