No, I wouldn't say plenty. The family will get what they get, and I know they will be satisfied with that. I am sorry you lost your job. I saw your other question on resume's, so good luck finding another job. Stay strong, don't give up. Remember, for most of these days, Christmas is about spending time with family and friends, it doesn't have to cost you money. I hope you have a Merry Christmas - and that your dreams and wishes for a job come true.

I do not have a good paying job (which I am happy with all the same and I don't have any other options at the moment), I had to dish out $1500 to get my car repaired in October, my school cancelled my loan for the semester, so if I want to enroll in my last semester in January I have to pay them the few thousand dollars for these classes up front, on top of all that I still have the credit card debt I accrued when I was young and had no idea about how money works since no one taught me so I can't get a loan for this stuff.
I have no savings left, I'm living on the tunafish and hard boiled egg diet currently, scrounging together every last penny I can find to keep ahead. Fortunately, there are some truely amazing dollar stores in my area.

Sorry about you losing your job, and by email of all things! We don't have the money to spend, but it's just my boyfriend and me. Every year we go to a restaurant with some friends, and then watch movies, or walk in the woods the rest of the day. We don't exchange gifts. We do like to donate what we can to charities. That's fulfilling, and takes the off the pressure.

Sorry about your job....I am broke as a joke...Fortunately, my daughter finally got a huge child support payment check, so she is loving life and my granddaughter will have a fantastic Christmas...I'm using the credit card and hopefully get a job after the holiday to A) live on and B) pay it off!!! Try and have a happy holiday anyway. My mother always said give when you can and don't feel bad when you can't!!!!!!!

No. I have been too sick to do any "real work" for the last couple of years. I just returned to running karaoke and while the money is good it is not full time work. But I have lots of time and crochet skills, so my family and friends will be getting lots of homemade items this year.

nope, I most definitely do not. And I'm sorry to hear that! But the holidays aren't about the money you spend and the gifts you buy...it's about being with those you love and spending time relaxing (or going to church if you're into that!) My best advice: splurge on a favorite holiday CD (lots of xmas music!) and listen to it as loudly as you possibly can. it will definitely put you in the xmas spirit! ;)
