I adore Van Halen!!!

I'm one of those few that like VH front men David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar equally. I believe they both served the band well. (I don't want to disrespect short time lead Gary Cherone, he just wasn't as recognized.)

Now, having said that, I hope that Eddie and Alex aren't whittling the line up down too much. I'm sure that Ed's son Wolfgang is a dandy addition to the band, but to not invite Michael Anthony to participate in any sort of reunion seems like a bad idea to me. I always thought that Anthony was on neutral ground within the band. Oh well, we'll just have to wait and see...

Yes, I like their self-titled debut, but that's all. If it weren't for Gene Simmons, David Lee Roth's father, and Allan Holdsworth, the first Van Halen album would have never hit the market. What I meant to say is that even though Eddie Van Halen is a talented musician, he is overrated. Gene Simmons gave them publicity. David Lee Roth's dad (a surgeon) gave them money. Last but not least, Allan Holdsworth, the jazz-fusion GOD gave Eddie guitar lessons, but Eddie never gave him the notoriety that Allan deserved. The first album was a gem, the rest....aah..they had their moments, but weren't as consistent. Ain't talkin' bout love either...lol

yes, they are an aweosme rock band and they are in my top 5 bands. probably #3 just below Heart#2 and KISS #1.

My favorite song by VH is Jump.
however my favorite singer is Sammy Hagar.

I hear Eddie's son Wolfgang might join the band as the bassist.
