Nothing is loose, and your doctors are right. However they failed to tell you that while you were anesthetised, a tube was placed down your throat to help you breathe. This tube generally will aggravate your throat for a few days afterward, and what you are seeing when you cough is actually the lower part of your throat that you don't normally see. It has always been there, and has always shown itself when you cough. You are just more aware of it now since you are experiencing problems with it. Relax, it WILL go away in a couple days. I promise.

This is a common sensation since a tube was passed down your throat during the anesthetic procedure. Sometimes also the tissue around the throat gets nicked by the tube but this is not serious. The sensation should go away in a few days. You can gargle with water and a little salt. May help.

They may have scraped the back or ur throat when u were intubated. If that is all that it is, it will heal in time. If it is a serious concern to u, DEMAND that the dr look at it. Do not let them blow off ur concerns. It takes seconds for them to shine a light down there and take a look. U have to be ur own advocate sometimes.
