The plant that created the original pink flamingo lawn ornament discontinued them recently. Sales have shown a steady decline since a high point in the 60's. In my opinion the reason for this decline is that most people think that they are tacky looking rather than recognizing them for the great piece of American kirsch that they are. I have a full sized, animated one that lights up in my yard! LOL ;-)

Because those pink flamnigoes have been going at it 24/7 and now there are so many, they arent expensive anymore. That's why the price for them has plummeted, there are so many now

Because they have actually stopped producing as many and have become collector's items...
