Just set up a share on the drive you want to access (right click the drive in explorer) and then map a drive on the other PC using the details configured on the share by using tools map network drive in explorer

right click on my computer and make sure that under identification, both workgroups are the same. Also, under your network settings, be sure hte IP addresses are the same and definitely disable your windows firewall. The best test is to attempt to ping the other computer, if you get a response then you are on the right track, if you don't then check IP's and disable firewalls on both and make sure each can surf the web, or at least ping your wireless router. This is more or less troubleshooting help to point you towards a solution.

The netowrk set-up wizard never works properly, well, rarely. So doing it manually is good, also, at times, it can take a few hours for both PC's to recognize that they are on a network.

Create a network folder. Place the files you want to be able totransfer into that folder. Allow sharing permissions by clicking on those folders and you will not have to set up a new connection. Miki P's solution is also a good way to go.
