Franz Beckenbauer i think will be good....
i am picking this person becuz he has contributed a lot to football! he created the libaro position and he is maybe the best central defender to ever play the game! ( no offence to cannavaro)...and he is the only person in the history of football to win the worldcup both as a player then as a manager! he was responsible for organizing the worldcup in germany, he was the main man responsible for everything and it turned out to be great success! he is the chairman of bayern munich! + he is already friends with most of the Fifa officials! this man knows everything there is to know about football!

Although I do agree that he would have very little interest if it was anywhere else but thats beside the point. I think he is right that the foreign owners are going to be a problem in years to come. Ok these Ultra rich owners have made the premiership the best league in the world. But once these guys get bored, the club will be left with a phenomenal wage bill, and no bottomless pit of funds to pay these guys. Don't be surprised to see the likes of Chelsea ending up in big trouble once the owners do get bored. Then will come the times of the Aston Villa's Hull City, Everton, Arsenal, Middlesborough.

The one and only Franz Beckenbauer. He has done magic by organising an excellent world cup in germany, he is one of the greatest footballers ever and he has been a good coach. Beckenbauer knows what's good and what's not for football. He is immensely experienced and innovative enough to take football to the future. He will popularise football in many countries. He is perfect for the job!!
My second choice will be Michel Platini. He is good although he doesn't have the qualities of Beckenbauer. He can bring a lot to football.
