CONCACAF 4th place has to play The south AMerican 5th. So i guess there will only be 3 CONCACAF teams in 2010. They should have Just given the spot to UEFA. WHy should South America with only 10 teams have 5 spots. Next, Why does ASIA have the half a spot. OCEANA should not even have that half. They should put them all in ASIA and stop wasting time. Give that other spot to AFRICA or something.

I agree that spot should go to Africa... look how many good teams missed out, why does South America get more anyway there are more countries in Africa
i dotn think Ivory Coast or Togo will make it back

South America have 10 teams, but 9 of them are competitive. Asia and Africa have 50 teams each, how many of them are competitive? 8 in Africa and 2 in Asia? (Yes, Asia is Japan, South Korea + 48). All South American countries that go to the World Cup do a good job. Look to the numbers, in the last World Cup were 4 South American teams, 3 went to the second round. The worst South American team (Paraguay) made 3 points, more than 3 African teams (Angola, Togo and Tunisia) and 3 Asian teams (Japan, Iran & Saudi Arabia). CONCACAF is crap. South America is the continent of football, it's where football reaches its highest esplendor, we deserve more than only 4,5 teams. I would give 6 South American teams in the World Cup.

G8 but Costa Rica ain't a walkover and I bet they are capable of beating countries like Columbia & Peru.
