Well.... I bought my brother a replica of the World Cup. It cost $150 CDN. It is the exact size and weight of the original. It's actually pretty heavy. I know he's going to love it. When I brought it home my kids thought it was the actual world cup.

If you get on world soocer shope.com or ebay (plenty of buy now items) you can look through a pretty wide array of items. There are team watches, hats jerseys etc... I picked up an Everton hat from ebay. Both outfits can get it to you in plenty of time for Christmas.

well some good ideas would be a foot(soccer)ball, a jersey of his favorite team, or if you really wanted to make him happy an autograph from his favorite player(try to get an autographed jersey, that would make him REALLY REALLY happy)
