Child support in Tennessee?

I recently won custody of my daughter, and child support was set for my ex wife to pay 6 weeks ago today....so now that she's 6 weeks behind, i was wondering how long does the child support offices let it go before they do something about it? is it so many weeks behind or is it a dollar amount they would have to be behind?

See this is the case, My ex has already made the statement that she "isnt gonna pay me nothing because she dosent have to" it is going through the state, and the case is already set up, because it was an existing case, where i was paying so the already had all the info, just had to change the person paying...this is what bugs me the most is that out of 6 years i never missed one single payment and so far she hasnt made the first 6 payments......it not the fact that i need her money for child support because i do pretty well for myself it the fact that she never hestitated once to get it from me, every week on payday, she even knew what time out checks one arrive at my work, she would always call about 20 to 30 mins afterward saying she was on her way to get it, every payday......so i'm not gonna give her a break on it at all

Call your local child support agency, but I recall a friend having his ex jailed after the support got $1000 behind. If she is paying directly through the state they may still be getting the paperwork together and you will receive a lump sum. If that is not the case and she is suppose to pay you directly, then you must notify the case worker and have them to collect this for you. Some women think they shouldn't have to pay and can get by with it just because they are a woman. Wrong! Women go to jail everyday for being dead-beat mothers.
