Yes, this is quite normal. Your OBGYN will tell you the same thing. I went through something similar when I had my son. Trust me, it does go back to a regular flow in time. My son is 18 months old now, and my periods are so easy. They are actually less painful ,no cramping, and a medium flow. Now, I don;t know if all women have that same experience, but that it what has happened with mine.
Call your Dr. and see what they say. I am sure they will tell you not to worry.

It takes 9 months for your body to prepare for a baby, and another 9 months to get over the pregnancy. It sounds normal but if you start passing heavy clots, please see a doctor.
I've had two children, and my periods have never been the same since, damn it!

This is completely normal.However if u start passing large clots go and get checked over just to be on the safe side

you didnt have your for like 10/11 months. your body is just rid of all your exese uteran bllod wall. it sleds ALOT in the first three to six months after birth. its ok tho!!!!

did you get your tubes tied?? i did, and now my period is VERY heavy, and it never was before, i think my period is stuck his way forever....but if you didnt get ur tubes tied it may go back to the way it used to be, try birthcontrol pills they make your period lighter
