First things first...a new catalytic converter for my truck. Then I'd probably buy some furniture to actually furnish the extra rooms that I have in my apt that I don't have furniture for (a bed for the guest room and a chaise lounge for the family room I turned into a reading room.) Beyond that, I have no clue. There isn't anything else I really need or want right now.

Nice amount but how could you ever spent it all in 48 hours, I would give some of the money to the unsung hero's the people we take for granted like the nursing profession, the fire brigade, the guys that work to keep our streets cleaner etc.

I would give money to Facing the World the Charity dealing with facial disfigurement in children set up and run my two surgeons.

Money to animal Charity's.

Then spend a bit on myself a holiday trekking up Mount Everest

Oh nice pipe dream.....

I would put into a Trust account, as me being the beneficiary. After that, the money would be drawn, and invested in, perhaps small companies with exceptional ideas. Any eventual profit would be put back into the trust and the cycle would be repeated. The benefits are that good technologies are advanced, jobs are created, and so is wealth. At which point, some of that wealth could be donated to non-profits. As for me, I would certainly take some of that profit, travel the world and experience life. Why are you looking to give away 1Mill?

I would split most of it between 3 day centers for handicapped adults in my town. what do you mean by "assets"? I'd buy my kids new cars and maybe one for my brother. I'd donate some to the county library and the school system. I'd spread it around to as many nonprofit organizations as I could.

You would have to spend it all on a service or services. Throw the biggest party in history? Give it all away? Gamble? Sponsor a scholarship? Produce a play and charge no admission? Start a non-profit school or charity?

If I had to spend it in a day. The most efective and quick way is betting in a casino. Personally I prefer give it to charity.

I would be thrilled to walk thru a city and randomly give money to old people...They would appreciate it the most. I would also make donations to local hospitals and schools - it's only when we use hospitals you realise the fabulous service and care they provide..My hospital/school donations would stipulate that 85% of the donation would have to be put into a capital item(s)...this stops the money grabbing bean counters withering it away on 'admin' etc...
Just my humble opinion...

Spend first, buy holidays, pay off student loans, buy things for family and friends, then give the rest to charity.
