I have been babysitting for 8 years and I'm getting alittle burned out of it. One of my clients just told me she was approved for free childcare and is going to move her daughter to that daycare. So I was thinking well if I want to stop it will be the perfect oppurtuntiy for me to do so. I can tell my other client that I can't afford the paycut so I am going to have to get a job outside of my home. It's a hard decison for me because I have had the same kids for the hole time and I love them like they were my own. So it's a hard thought for me to think of not having them with me everyday. But I'm kinda liking he idea of going back to a regualr job, my kids are both in school now.

I started out babysitting to make extra money while I was a stay at home mom for my children. I am not single, my husband works full time with good pay, I 'm just getting burned out of the same thing over and over.

sounds like you're experiencing a "mid-job" crisis.. we all go through that crap. if you are bored, then take the plunge and do something totally new.. you may find it really refreshing

I think getting a full-time job is worth trying. If you are already sick of doing the same things again and again, then, I guess, you need to change career. But if your heart is with children then maybe you just need to have a break and not quit this job. But if you really want to get a full-time job, then go ahead. As long as the pay is not lower than what you used to earn from babysitting, then I don't think there is a problem with it.

I say go for it, this is the perfect time. Your kids are in school and think of the work benefits. Your kids and the ones u babysit can still see each other on the weekends.Good luck

well if you feel that is best for you then you should just follow your heart. or you should look into dealing with women that are on welfare they have a program called program for parents, thats when welfare will pay you for babysitting and the parents wont have to come out of their pocket. but the parents have to sign up for it. then you will be benefitted and so will the parents and you can continue to do something you love and still get paid maybe even more than what you was making .

in my opinion, baby sitting is primarily for teeners who want to get odd jobs while studying. it's their way of making extra money for themselves.

but in your case, i think, you're not in your teens any longer, in addition of having kids who go to school. it's time for you to take a real, full-time job that will help you get by somehow.

if you know something else, or have another skill, then now is thebest time to put it to good use. anyhow, you've been babysitting for a long time now.

but of course, the decision is still upon you. whatever you decide to do, just make sure that it will not only benefit you, but also your kids.

If your kids are both in school now you definitely need to get out into the working world. You NEED adult companionship. This will make a big difference in your life!

You might try being a nanny for a professional. It pays better and still keeps you in the field that you seem to like.

It sounds like you are ready and excited to go to work. You don't need the permission or approval of anyone else than yourself. Good luck!
