so i told the minister in his study that i come straight from working at a hospital and i'll be in my scrub uniform so at times i'll wear pants. He looked at me with anger in his eyes and told me it is written in the Bible women cannot wear pants. bs or not? I wont be going to his church it was either a bar or church.

A lot of Churches find it disrespectful to wear pants if you're a woman. The bible doesn't say to wear a skirt, but it's just respectful. You don't have to do it. Go to another church.

wow, I would walk out and never go back. Wearing Pants is not going to send you to hell. Its legalistic behavior like your Pastors that will. I would try to find a more loving church. Who cares what you look on the outside. Its the inside behavior that God is looking at. I use to live by the beach and where I went to church the Pastor use to wear shorts and so did all his congregration. It was the most loving church I had ever gone too. Good Luck!

God is not concern about your clothes . I would have asked him to show me in the bible were God or Jesus said that! But I would have probably gone there for a few Sundays after that just to piss the old fart off! Or if you had a bikini bottom on under your scrubs take the scrubs off and go in in the bikini bottom and when he said something to you, say I'm not wearing pants!

There are lots of churches out there, so that one wasn't the right church for you--keep looking. It's not what you wear on the outside, but who you are on the inside.

some church bodies are extremely strict with dress codes and such. however, if he's quoting the Bible, you can tell him that it also says though shall not judge, and "where two or more are gathered (in worship), I will also be." my best advice is if you truly want to find a church it would be in your best interest to find one that suits your personality, time schedule, needs and all of those things. trust me, they are out there. good luck and God bless. God is with you no matter what and he knows that your trying, that's all that matters.

Out of all the sins in this world......women wearing pants is not one of them. God does not care if a woman wears pants! "Come as you are".

i think its one of the many laws that is written in the old testament, those of the Jewish faith tend to follow those more strictly than others, one of the laws says that eating a cheeseburger is a sin "bathing a calf in its mothers milk"

It's for real. My aunt's diehard christian for whatever reason and refuses to wear pants because it's a sin or something. Stupid.
