I drive a 2000 Impala, and on my dashboard a red light come one" LOW OIL PRESSURE" I checked the OIL and ITS FULL, COULD IT BE A SENSOR?

Most likely a sensor, but your oil pump could not be running correctly, better have it checked.

This car is known for oil pressure sensor failure, I have changed quite a few with the same problem. I would try that first because it's less expensive than the oil pump. Your local shop can test the resistance before installing a new sensor.

yes it could also be the oil pump.. do u change oil regularly? do u drive short distances? have a mechanic put a mechanical oil pressure test gauge on it. but listen to the motor if it is making ckicking noises or knocking, don't drive it till machanic tests the oil pressure.
