This Question is very general?

We have all kinds of women in this World and it is unfair and false to issue an a judgment against all women by these kinds of survey.

First men and women are classified in culture, in many cultures to talk about past sexual activities is 'crime' and they may be punished ! SO, these kind of people [men & women] would never say the truth.

Second men and women are classified in their religion. In most of religions having multi sexual act ivies is 'sin' and again when some people does it, they would never say the truth.

Third men and women in western modern societies, there are the solo people in whole the World that talk and act freely in all kinds of sexual activities . Only among this group, which is less than 5% of total populations of the World; the majority are saying the truth as they have good education, and are open minded .
However, the level of corruption also is extremely HIGH in this level too that never any other nations have experienced; such as a group sexual parties, change of partners with consents etc.

In general, I believe this was good Question for social studying
and it could be beneficent if the answerers reply honestly only about 'self' if their privacy be protected.

Some women lie about how many sex partners they had because maybe they are ashamed of how many they had or they lie because the truth might scare you. How much you say well since i am a woman and I know these things i would say by maybe 20-30. or it depends on the woman and how many sex partners she had.

Men and women both seem to lie about that. The men brag that there has been more than there really was....and women don't want the men to know....how many there really have been. But, thats not to say that all people lie about it. With the STD's of this world.........no one should lie and everyone who is not in a steady relationship should be checked out on a regular basis.

Do men lie about the number of sex partners they have had? I would be willing to guess that most people do lie about the number. Guys are considered "studs" if they sleep with numerous women, where women are still called sluts if they sleep with several guys. I have lied about it. And I will say that I could count on both hands the number of guys I have REALLY slept with versus how many I CLAIM to have slept with.

Men lie - increase the number by about 25%. Women lie, decrease the number by about 50%. In any case, why would a guy want to know real number?

Yep, because of the double standard. If guys have lots of partners they are a stud, if a woman has lots of partners they are loose. Depending on the woman I would guess most women take away an average of 5 partners they have really slept with.

Just as with men, some do some do not. This is an individual thing, one can not place a number and generalize that all women lie and by how much. God bless****

There have been references to this in movies and tv show. Women lie and say less, Men lie and say more. Nobody knows by how much. What ever is more dramatic, I guess.

I am sure if she has had several partners that she might lie. It is because she does not want it brought up in an argument that might come sometime in the relationship. Men tend to label when they get angry.... No one wants to be called a whore. Especially by a man who has probably had more partners then she has had.

stretching the truth is what I would call it. And it is not only women but men as well. I can say honestly i can count on one hand how many men i have been with. I would think the younger generation does. But not the older set. I feel that lying about it would only push a potential relationship further away. But it is only an opinion.
