Much as I like flamingos, I wouldn't take one as there would be a huge problem with my cat, which I would definitely pick...

Sure, on our island they are one of the only species to inhabit, along with some horseshoe crabs which seem to live through anything :)

no way. LOL, they need too much water and won't suit for being pet. I'd go for typical animals like dogs, cats, fish or something
