I've never personally noticed a strong urine smell when I was pregnant with my son or now with this pregnancy. However, my friend did say that her urine had a really strong smell when she was pregnant with her daughter. Thats actually how she found out. She thought she had an infection or something because she hadn't drank anything different or anything. Anyhow, it never personally happenened to me. It could also be though, that your sense of smell is stronger not necessarily your urine stronger. Just an idea. On the irritable topic. That I am going through now! Nothing seems to be going the way I want it too. Its so frustrating. breast tenderness and sore nipples are sometimes a sign of pregnancy. If I were you I would take another test after your period is due or go to the doctor for a test. I really hope things go the way you want them. Good Luck with everything!

I agree that you should drink more water (and cranberry juice will make your urinary tract more acidic to help keep infections at bay), but also analyze what you've been consuming. Some foods and drinks will cause stronger urine - rich or heavy foods as well as alcohol (since it dehydrates you). If it persists, a quick checkup with your doctor will rule out any other factors, like a urinary tract infection or elevated blood sugar.

You need to see a doctor. Sometimes different foods can change the smell of you urine like coffee and asparagus. You may have an urinary tract infection if you also have burning and pressure. If so try AZO or Uristat they work well.

More likely to be an indication of what you are eating and drinking. If your body is dehydrated, it will be more concentrated and the smell stronger. If you've had any major changes in life style, say exercising more, it could be a results of that.
But heightened senses is certainly one symptom of pregnancy. And if you are more aware of the smell, that could be one indicator. I'd consider a quick visit to the doctor.

You may have some bacteria in your urine that is causing the smell. Try drinking lots of water, cranberry juice and also eat lots of yogurt. Yogurt helps to fight off yeast infections which will also make your urine have a bad odor.

The sore nipples might be more of an indicator. Hold out and see if your period is late to see if you need another test.

It's often a symptom of dehydration. Drink your 8 glasses of water a day, and see if that doesn't help. You should also eat yogurt and drink cranberry juice every so often to keep your 'girl parts' healthy. Good luck!

The smell could also have to do with your diet. Have you been eating things you dont normally? That could also be a symptom to drink more water.
