Excision is the gold standard of removal, but this is not performed by anyone other than a specialist (www.centerforendo.com, www.endometriosis.org). If travel is an option, definitely consider a visit to one of the specialty centers. Otherwise, hormonal medications and superficial surgical removal can be offered by your local gyn, all of which have side effects and none of which are completely helpful (and definitely not curative). There are alternative therapies too, like herbs and such. See www.endocenter.org for more info. Good luck.

I had a laparoscopy 2 years ago and found i had endometriosis. I have suffered with servere pain from it and had to take alot of time off work. What i found was there was very few options for a female who wanted to conceive. I have been trying to conceive for the past two years and every option they gave me ment i was unable to. My options were going on the contraception pill. This is because the pain can be reduced as your menstrual cycle will be controlled, there was other medication options offered i can not remember the names now but the side effects do not sound very nice - side effects include vaginal dryness and menopausal symptoms I am only 26 so felt this would not suit me. But November the 10th I had keyhole surgery that involved the excision of the endometriosis. and I must admit this is probably the first time in a long time i have felt good. The only problem is endometriosis is a chronic disease that can not be cured and it is likely that within 18 months that the pains will be back - but i'm hoping that within this time i have conceived and then i can look at other treatments available. I hope this helps you a little and good luck x

As well as the suggestions here regarding removing adhesions with a laparascopy it might be worth considering going on the mini pill. Because I've had blood clot/PE doctors do not want to carry out any invasive procedure until I'm ready to concieve and only then I'll get a laparoscopy so in the meantime I'm on Noriday which is great as I have considerably less periods now (max 3 a year). I do have to say it doesn't work for everyone in regards to periods stopping.

If the choice was mine I'd go down the laparoscopy route.

Now everyone can cure infertility using this natural remedy http://pregnancyhelps.info
infertility can run in the family and one of the first things the doctor asks you when you go to a fertility clinic is your family history regarding cases of infertility or other reproductive issues.
If infertility is caused by genetic disorder then it's not unusual that one of the kids (your mom) doesn't have it and another does (your aunt).
two months of trying is still to early to be concerned about the fact that you might be infertile and it's also quite early to go to a fertility specialist. Go to a regular Obgyb to get a closer insight and see what ways there are are to improve your fertility rate.
Also remove alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes from your life because they might influence your chances too. Stress is also a risk factor when it comes to infertility.

There are a couple of ways to go when treating endometriosis. You can go the western medicine route and have your OB/Gyn remove the adhesions via laparotomy. Or you can try acupuncture. I suggest that you look into both.

You can take the pill non-stop for six months to give the pelvis a chance to repair itself, (by not bleeding each month) or have an operation, though I can't recall the name of the operation. Hope this is some help.
My friend had it quite sever, but she still was able to have children so don't let anyone say it stops you having kids.
