I dunno I was thinking that last night when I was watching the Simpsons. I thought that the actual band was going to come out and it was Radioactive mans sidekick! LoL... But yeah maybe they did get it from that...ask jeeves.

Haha, i've listened to Fall Out Boys music before, and when i saw the episode of Simpsons again, i thought " ....Haha."
Here's part of an interview which they done, and the question of their name came up:
"Pete: We did not take our name from the Simpsons! We played our first show without a name, and we told the crowd, "Give us a name" and some kid yelled it out. And that's how we got the name."
So yeah, that was Pete Wentz version of it, but i think they're really into the Simpsons ;)

The group has denied that The Simpsons were the inspiration for the name.
But I think they're lying...maybe they didn't want to have to pay royalties to Matt Groening....

yes they actually did i have been emailing one of the band members for a while and he told me that its partially from the simpsons thats correct
