Hi, girls. I am on the 40th day of my cycle now. Normally I have 28-32 days cycle. Yet, last month it was a week delay due to stress at work. This month there was no stress at all. But I am at least 8, or for the max. 12 days late. On Wednesday (it was day 38) I took e.p.t. test and it showed negative. But still no period and lots of symptoms like morning sickness (that usually takes place in the morning and closer to night), heavy breasts, sensitive nipples, some food craving (for salty and meat things), tiredness and feel sleepy. So, the question is-- has anyone of you really been in the situation that with so many days delay you got negative by urine test and later on you turned out to be pregnant? Thanks fopr your answers.
P.S. I have never been on the pills or something like this.

I have a feeling you might be pregnant but you need to maybe test again 3 days after you last tested. Only because of the symptoms and the lateness of you're period, especially with no stress. If you are trying to get pregnant, you're mind might be tricking you to have those symptoms. Good luck.

I have 5 children and with 3 of them I had positive pregnancy results strightaway, with 1 of them I had to repeat the test several times over a few weeks to get a positive result but with my second I ended up having a blood test at the drs when my period was 2 weeks late, cos there wasnt enough hormone in my urine. My point is that every pregnancy is different. If you think u may be pregnant and u still have negative results in a few days go see ur dr and ask for a blood test. The pregnancy hormone is stronger in ur blood so if u r pregnant it will be a positive result. Good luck!

I was very late back in Aug. My father passed away in July, and the stress of dealing with moving my mother and estate issues caused me to feel a bit wacky. I took 5 EPT test all negative. All the pregnant symptoms were present. I finally could not take it anymore....worrying WHAT IF..! My husband told me to just relax, easy for him to say. I went to the doctor and had them draw blood to test for the hormone that sometimes is not present in urine for the EPT. Needless to say....NEGATIVE...shortly thereafter....it arrived, 17 days late. Hope this helps. Go to your OB-GYN and have blood drawn to ease your mind.

I would go to the doctor and have a blood test done because they are more accurate than home tests.
You could just be late due to stress or illness. Maybe you should get on birth control to regulate your periods.
Good luck

Get the blood test done.I have known a few people that the home test said - when they were +. If you are not pregnant, there is always other things it could be and the doc can check for them.
Good luck.I hope it is a good thing.:)

Go see a Doctor, your Fallopian tube may be blocked, and needs purging.Or you may be pregnant and its too soon to show positive on a urine test strip. these things could be serious, don't delay.

Get a blood test. If you are pregnant sometimes the home tests cannot pick up HCG hormone, and so you get a negative test.

over the counter pregnancy tests aren't always accurate. a freind of mine took one when she was 3 months pregnant and it was negative. go to the doctor and get the blood test done. those are almost error-proof.

See a Dr...........that's the best way...it took me 6 negative tests and a visit to my Dr to finally convince ME...I wasn't pregnant! Good Luck...either way!

in both my pregnancies i did pregnancy tests early on and they came back negative. however if your mind is overthinking the symptoms could be in your head or you could actually be pregnant, i would go to your drs and ask them to take a sample and test it.
