The links everyone is giving you are not sites you can download music from. They are links to Software that is called Peer2Peer Sharing Software. It is software that people use to share their illegally distributed copyrighted materials like music, games and software and more. It is also the #1 way trojans, viruses, spyware and adware is spread.
Good luck. There are NO legitim, legal websites to download music from.
If you want to get music off the net LEGALLY< use Itunes.

http://www.limewire.com/ is the most used free file sharing site. make sure you have anti virus running before swapping any files. the free edition of avg available from http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ does a good job. once you have installed limewire do a search for limewire pro. then install this and delete the original. pro is faster.
