"The Peoples Act of Love" by James Meek! It's a brilliant novel and one of the best books I've ever read. The story is set in Russian before and after the revolution, but don't let that frighten you. It's absolutely fascinating and digs deep into the human psyche. It's not a traditional love story and rather bitter than sweet, but the book is extremely well written with a fascinating plot, part love story, part thriller and really bizarre and turning each page with fascination to find out what's going to happen next, it keeps you on your toes. Warmly recommended!

Try a collection of sonnets by Elizabeth Barrett Browning or Robert Browning

"How do i love thee
Let me count the ways" etc

Shakespeare did love sonnets too.
