Our family has always enjoyed water parks over theme parks. Attractions like wave pools and lazy rivers can be enjoyed without standing in lines -- just jump right in! The atmosphere is always cool and relaxing.

We love Typhoon Lagoon? anyone else have any fave H2O parks?

If ever you are in New Braunfels, Texas (just north of San Antonio), you must go to Schlitterbaun. This place is known world wide and a number of box hit movies were filmed there. New Braunfels is a German community with an authentic 3 generation german bakery with the greatest apple struedel and the Hummel Museum is there on the circle in the heart of town. Bakery is near the museum. Climate is awesome, people are very friendly. You would love it. Should you want to venture on another 15 mi, you will be in San Antonio where the famous Riverwalk is A MUST SEE.. GONDOLA RIDES AND ALL) and the infamous Alamo with in a short walk from the Riverwalk. Makes a great week-end getaway for all ages! Have fun should you go.I-35 will take you to all places.Famous Outlet Mall in SanMarcos on your way to New Braunfels. Great! Also 6 Flags is in San Antonio.
