They like something khatta because it happens only in india.
They can like anything sweet, sour or spicy.

well nowadays its no like that may be in movie but khatta is coz of medicines taken by preg, woman so taste of mouth will get bad so to break that she loves to eat khatta.

May not be right but it looks ,to do somthing with the need of excessive need of citric acid, vitamin C, calcium, iron and phosphoros etc.
Because at the time of pregnancy there is excessive requirement of certain elememnt, probably these overload the digestive system leading to vomoiting etc.

It is call craving for strange foods. It is just not sour food but usually craving is so strong that they end up eating all kind of foods one after the other. They may never touch those food in normal condition.

its not just sour foods they want to have,they can have cravings for any type of food.Maybe spicy,maybe icecreams.its all because of the changing harmones.
Anyways if anyone does eat a lot of sour things like raw mangoes,pickles, its not good for pregnant ladies.

Pregnancy hormones give us cravings for all kinds of foods that are sour, spicy or even sweets!

If you mean sour, it's just a craving that some women have. Possibly for citric acid such as that found in lemons or limes.
