We have a Secret Santa gift to buy at work- the gift is to be for £5 (stingy!!!) and it is to appeal to a Male and a Female - thoughts??

My suggestions would be:
Something absolutely useless but amusing like cheap novelties, toys etc
Good quality chocolate
A new mug for work
One of those insulated coffee cups to keep your colleagues warm and cosy on the way to work
A copy of The Science of Getting Rich which you can get free from http://www.scienceofgettingrich.net/gifts/abundant.html together with a piggy bank to hold all their new found wealth or just give them the fiver to start them off (I think this is the one I would be most impressed with)
A book - there are loads that are appropriate to men and women
Key ring torch - always come in handy

Go to one of those Christmas Bazaars, or to woodwize.com they make excellent bars of soap of all sorts of scents and one of the moisturizing ingredients is hemp oil, which can penetrate all layers of skin and is excellent for softening skin, psoriasis and some are not all girly scented. Such as oatmeal scent. They are located in graham, wa.
Also, a gift card to starbucks or sears, anyone could use something like that.

I don't konw if they have Spencer's Gifts in London but in America they do, it's like a gag gift store that sells things like inflateble dolls, chewing gum that will burn in your mouth, stupid stuff like that. Since the amounts is so low, no one is really going to be expecting you get anything spectacular so get something that will amuse and enjoy! Happy shopping!!!

Photo frame or album, cookie mixes in cute packages, coffee mugs, chocolate assortments, flavored coffee sets, a nice ornament, an inexpensive address/phone book, an inexpensive desk clock, mixed fancy nuts, etc.

A nice warm scarf (unisex) you can get lovely ones for a fiver or even less and i think a scarf can be quite sexy on a guy - if worn properly !
