Wrinkle their nose a lot. It's like one short sharp wrinkle and then they're back to normal. My brother does this a lot. Is it when you're trying to push your glasses up your nose without using your hands?

Also, I've noticed that a lot of spectacle wearers do this thing where they do one massive blink - with real strength - and then carry on as normal. Why?

I used to wrinkle my nose to adjust my specs but I stopped doing it when someone told me it made me look like I had a facial tick....not good. It probably means his giggs don't fit him properly too - maybe he should get them adjusted?

I don't do the blink thing, that might be specific to your brother!

Yes, I do that all the time. I get sick of using my hands all the time, so I just wrinkle my nose to push them back up. It's funny, because sometimes when I'm not wearing my glasses, I wrinkle my nose by instinct.

As for the massive blink thing, I have no idea. Maybe they have dry or strained eyes.

I wrinkle my nose to release the grip the glasses have on my nose! Sometimes the pads feel tight against my nose so I wrinkle my nose to release the pressure. Don't think I do the long blink though! But then, I don't watch myself all day so don't know! x

Yes, the short sharp wrinkle, is a way we have learned to push our glasses up.
The massive blink usually occurs when our eye's are dry.

I've never noticed that before. Now I'll be staring at people with glasses all day today trying to catch them in the act..... Dang, just another thing to distract me.

Lisa Loeb had the neatest glasses in 1993.

Peace.

Oooh I don't do that...

I think it is to shift them up your nose. If the massive blink thing is true, then they need their perscription changed because it's obviously not strong enough.

That's a minor abberation ........ Feel for the people who push the glasses to the top of their heads ---- and after they get them disentangled from their hair, walk around with a Pebbles/Bam Bam quiff coiffure for the rest of the day ------- AND NOBODY TELLS THEM!!!
