Although Christmas should be about the birth of Christ, nothing is more universal than a visit from Santa Claus, however, since the spirit of Christmas is about giving there is no better storyline which brings home the REAL meaning of gift giving than "The Gift of the Magi" by O'Henry. It's a simple and heartfelt story which truly defines what gift giving should be about. This storyline is often used in comparison to todays' commercial outlook to Christmas. A quick search (see links below) on the net will locate the original story for you. Good luck and Merry Christmas to you.

If your putting on a Christmas play and it can't be an ordinary Christmas play then it should be called a "Christmas" play!!!

It should be called a Seasonal play or whatever.

If Christmas can't be used in the message of the play - they shouldn't have the right to use this name.

Baring that you could just base it on Santa Claus - like in the Polar express. The total message for that movie is simply to BELIEVE!!!

The pagan worship of the winter solstice, which is what christmas is based upon. Constatine ordered all pagan holidays integrated into christian beliefs when he decided to merge paganism with Christianity to control two groups of people with conflicting ideologies. Rather a stroke of genuis wouldnt you say?
