have to agree w/Pfil on this one....I've listed some stories linked below that present a different view than the one presented in the movie. My feeling is that any time a movie/book/article/TV news report should be met with some scepticism and that each of us should really look at the true scientific data before making a decision about anything. Sadly, most people are willing to accept whatever is shown them as the truth.
Overeating at McDonald's three times a day will make you fat? Is that any great surprise to anyone? LOL
And, no, I don't work for McDonald's or any other fast food chain...just want people to have balanced information!

Hate to break it to ya, pal, but you can get all the diseases the above poster mentioned from fast food or many OTHER things. And the reason Spurlock dove into unhealthy death is that he was a diehard fitness dude with a great diet who not only started eating fast food, but copious amounts of it and stopped doing any and all "unnecessary" activity. A real study would've been to replace his food with fast food in the same ratio and maintain the same fitness regime to observe the true differences. Instead, he said "I'm gonna be a fat American slop and blame McDonalds for this." That was all him. If you watched the movie, you'd notice a guy who has 2 Big Macs a day, every single day, and doesn't have a bad body or lack of energy at all. Therefore, take any information you get from it with a grain of salt.

To Pfil:

While you are right, there are people in America who live like that. Only fast food, no exercise, little activity at all. Yes, you may say that this is an extreme picture, it is still a true picture.
