If the U.S is such an advanced, forward thinking, great country, why are three innocent men still in prison and one of them, Damien Echols, is on death row for a crime he did not comit. Why are they being denied access to DNA testing. Surely it's the right of every American citizen to use every means at his countrys disposal to prove his innocence. Innocent until proven guilty??

I think they are still in prison because of incompetent crime scene investigation. It's my belief that more investigation should have been done into the actions of the stepfather of one of the boys. For example, why did he have all of his teeth pulled just when the investigation began looking at bite mark analysis?
