she has been very good this year she is fourteen she likes makeup cool things i am just not sure what to get?

Why not fill her a stocking with some make-up, bath and body things, cd's, dvd's, movie tickets. Wrap everything up individually, so the suspense of what shes getting lasts longer. Whatever you choose, customize it to her interests and she will be happy. Merry Christmas

Oh this is easy, go for makeup, caboodle to keep it in, a gift certificate from Limited Too, or American Eagle. Take her to a spa/beauty shop, get her nails done and a pedicure, "Princess for a day" Plus it's a great bonding time for you guys.
Does she like ipods? What about redoing her room? What about a certificate to the mall for a certain amount then go shopping the day after Christmas when everything is on sale?
There are several options, teens are fun

Take her to get a facial and also to have a pro help show her the correct way to put on make up. This way your step daughter will get tips on the right colors, and tips on what will make her look nice and not too "made up". For her gift, let her pick out some new make up and get her a really cool make up case to put it all in.
....also, I know make up at the professional counters are more expensive, but it still might be worth it to go ahead and get the tips from an expert.

One of my favorite gifts ever was from my mom- a sterling silver charm bracelet. You can get her the plain bracelet and a few charms and then for future gifts for her birthday, Christmas's etc.. you can get her more charms to add to it.
What makes a charm bracelet so special is that you can pick out specific charms that symbolize special things to her. I have a charm bracelet that was given to me in 1983 and I now have 39 charms on it.
Some of my favorites are:
*a whale that opens up and has Jonah inside
* a frying pan with little eggs and bacon in it
* a fortune cookie with removeable fortune that is engraved with my name and birthdate
*a tiny whistle that really blows
*a peanut (my nickname as a kid)
*real 4 leaf clover and mustard seed reverse crystal charms
*a little log cabin that opens up
*a tiny magnifying glass that really works (I loved Nancy Drew books as a kid)
*a jukebox
*can-can dancers that can really kick their legs
They are so fun to collect and everyone always wants to look at your bracelet. The charm bracelet is priced around $25 and each charm is somewhere around $6-11 dollars depending on the weight and intricacy. And remember, this is puire sterling silver and really worth something! It will also be a cherished heirloom she can pass down to her own daughter.
You can even find wonderful vintage charms on ebay. Many special ones are classisfied under "Mechanical Charms" and they move or open.
Whatever you decide to get your daughter I am sure she will love it!

** Take her to the mall and go to a counter where they sell your fave makeup and have her get a complimnetry make session. Then go back and purchse the items of makeup that she liked. Get her an assortment of makeup.
I would get her some cute makeup kits, like a kit with all different colors of eyeshadow (a sears or jcpenny, dillards...) Lip gloss in different shades. A gift card to American Eagle, Hollister, or her fave store.

If she's into makeup then how about a gift certificate to a spa. She can get a facial, manicure, pedicure or how about a glamour shots package. They will make her over and take great pictures of her!

The last time we had to do this we asked another teenage girl (in the store) and she helped us pick out the right perfume and make-up stuff for our granddaughter.
