We bought three dwarf hamsters. The books say dwarfs are socialable and can be housed together. There are times when they play fight but don't make any noise, and there are times that they one squeeks a lot. Should I be concerned? Serious answers only. I have thought about getting another cage and seperating the one getting picked on out of the main cage.

It is normal and yes they are social. If they were serious there would be blood shed, then do something. They are figuring out who is dominant etc. Play is how all critters learn.
Do not worry about it :0)
Do keep a eye on them, they are fun to watch anyways....

BTW I had supplied many pet shops with these hamsters and other breed of hamsters. Some people do not understand that the personality of these hamsters is DIFFERENT then the standard hamster (bigger species), keep reading your books :0) Don't make a social creature spend a life of loneliness...

Hamsters do not play-fight. If you see them tussle they are going at it. If you have a combination of male and female hamsters that would probably indicate why they're fighting. In most cases, hamsters will live together harmoniously if they have an adequately sized cage. If you cram them into a small cage they will go at it constantly. Talk to your pet store and see what kind of cages are available. I find that hamsters like they "tunnel" cages and make sure they have an area where they can isolate themselves, they get moody a lot and like to be left alone sometimes.

Hope this helps.

properly i think of that if there are no cuts you are going to be ok the mother may well be cleansing them or if there nonetheless nursing they may well be pushing one yet another around to get milk. I also have a mouse i understand its not the same element yet i think of this could properly be somewhat help-finished properly anyhow she gave start and for a on the same time as i heard undesirable shrieking yet ever time i regarded to verify what the subject became into they have been purely being wiped clean or shoving one yet another around for milk . properly i'm hoping it helps good success

They are fighting and should be seperated.

Pet stores will tell you anything to sell their products.
