because its unoriginal recycled garbage...thats why....it was good when it was first around..run dmc de la soul...real rap talents....but now everyones into it....and rappers such as 50 cent and kanye west just use the same hooks and beats all over again...and it also has something to do with white people as well....rap used to be about poetry and the struggles of life now its just about hos and drugs....thats why rap is all the same..

In aspect I feel that the genre of Hip-Hop & Rap sounds very similar from song to song. This may not be intentionally done by the artist label or anyone involved in the production process. But this could be because the music industry from week to week, month to month, and sometimes year to year has to have some sort of similarity in order to sell. This goes for any genre of music: Metal, R&B, Blues, Electronic, Rock, etc...

Rap is actually about the message and not the production, beats etc. Therefore most of them would sound alike.
However, to rephrase your question, if you asked 'why does all HIP-HOP sound the same' then I would simply say that it doesn't because it's industry base is so commercialised that they would try so hard to NOT make them all sound alike - therefore there would be more of a business approach to it all.

I hoped that helped!

To a middle aged white old school rock and roller like myself, you are right it does. But to someone who is into it it does not.Take AC/DC for instance. For me each song speaks of a different thing, with different drumbeats, guitar rifts, etc. But to someone who doesnt like AC/DC,it is noise that all sounds the same. The same with opera, disco, whatever. If it is not your cup of tea, then it is all the same.To each their own.

Its not the music,. its the lyrics your talking abou tright? Much like all country songs talk about wife leaving, dog running away or dieing and such, all Rap songs refer to shooting the cops, selling the crack, and smacking the hoes with your pimp hand....

Is that what you meant?

Your ears may not be intuned to that style of music. Listen to something else that pleases your ears.
