A tornado hits other parts of the country, and nothing more than a couple of lines in the newspapers... But one hits London and everyone is talking about it for 2 days!!! How is London special to the rest of the world??? It so pisses me off!!!!! :(

Why are people dumping on London? Anyway, London and other parts of England get plenty of tornadoes, but usually much smaller than we get in the US. This one happened to be a bit bigger, but no giant by any means.
Any time a tornado hits a large city, it IS news.

Just a joke. I agree. It may be a strech but it might have something to do with the face that Tony Blair is an ally and via our media we show that we 'care' about his country.
I bet Australia and other counrties haven't and will not even mention it in their news.

i agree, i live in the north and i think london is completely overrated, the only decent thing about it is the money it receives from tourism. I've been to london once and i thought it was rubbish. Crowded, Poluted and everyone is very unfriendly.

that's not true....Africa is the center of all life, watch the movie Tomb Raider, plus London's climate doesn't usually get Tornadoes just like here in NYC
