The BBC have decided to have ex-sun editor Kelvin Mckenzie on Radio 5 Live on Christmas day, this is the man who is responsible for going to press with malicious, lies tarring Merseyside. It was proved that he lied yet this pathetic excuse for a human being still to this day stands by the headline and the story;

Answer me this should freedom of speech include LIES for the sake of selling newspapers, that cause hurt to an entire city and it's surroundings? If he'd said the same about a specific race of people would you still call it freedom of speech? This man is in a position of power that means a lot of people believe his lies, these have been proven to be lies and 17 years later the man pours salt on wounds, this man has no conscience, I just hope you aren't victim of his bile in the future.

The guy is obviously an idiot. It seems be actually believes the lies he told. I would just ignore the rantings of a mad man whether he is on the TV, the radio or in the street. Just don't listento radio 5 on Christmas day (I won't be I'll be watching Doctor Who on BBC1- yay Doctor Who!).
Anyway I will look into the case more before I sign anything, and if after considering all the evidence I may sign it (chances are I will).
Anyway try not to let this spoil your whole Christmas.

i cant understand why people are being so horrible to you. yes i am a Liverpool fan and yes i can remember what this city felt when this happened the city was sick with grief.
the thing that hurt us the most was that our fans where the ones blamed for this tragedy.

This man said that our fans robbed from the dead and peed on them he printed these vile lies in a national newspaper and that was what hurt that people who were grieving where subjected to these evil lies because this pathetic little man was trying to cover his own back, i agree yes this happened a long time ago and yes it should be laid to rest but by the same token if you where in liverpool at the time of this tragedy you would understand.

All people affiliated with Sun "News"paper should be made to crawl in sewers like rats they are. it's not just Liverpool that suffers at hands of Sun. And actually, when you say "race of people", what about women? I think the misogynous treatment of women in the Sun could do with sorting out, especially as the current editor is a woman.
Also, Big Ron Atkinson has been allowed back on t.v (o.k not primetime footie) after his awful remarks about black players. So don't feel victimised, we're all up for a kicking in medialand!

he used to write for the sun newspaper. this is the same paper that once had printed as the top story "Black bastards" or something along those lines. this is in reference to an alledged rape or was it a murder supposedly carried out by 3 black suspects. so anyway whatever a sun "journalist" has to say cannot and never will be taken seriously by people with a modicum of sense, unless of course they read the daily express. take no notice of his shite.

stop ranting and move on. yes it was bad what happened, but people need to move on.

Its like hating ever nation we have gone to war with in the past still..... well ok we still hate them but you get my drift.

I would not be suprised if you did even have a relative or friend who died and are fighting other peoples arguements.

Because regardless of what many average, normal, right-thinking people think it is journalists who decide what is in the public interest and is therefore news. The only wat to stop this malicious spread of lying and salacious journalism is to STOP buying the papers, watching television and lisyening to radio.
