hmm is emo music different from rock?

i mean.. is my chemical romance different from um.... red hot chili peppers?

emo is a form of rock. emo mainly talks about emotions after tough situations. many people feel that people who listen to emo music cut and are goths but that's not true at all. some do but there are many perfectly sane people walking around and listening to emo music. there are so many forms of rock and emo is just another form. my chemical romance is a good emo band but they also have a mix of glam rock and punk rock. i don't think there is a band in this world that is only emo.

Yeah...My Chemical Romance will be history in like a year at best. The Chili Peppers have been around for a long time, and will remain for a long time. The difference is pop music vs. music that has staying power. It has nothing to do w/ being EMO. Besides most EMO kids listen to Evanesence, Slipknot, etc..... Darker music, with a sadder message, not My Chemical Romance.

of course my chemical romance is different from Red Hot Chilli Peppers. MCR is NOT emo. I'm gonna give you an article to read on the emo music scene. MTV is wrong MCR, fall out boy, and AFI aren't emo. the bands said so themselves that they aint emo. but anyways, MCR sings about depression death, and RHCP they just sing about whatever they wanna, but its not really about drugs and depression (well the new stuff anyways)

Many people seem to think that thay are the same but they're not! And never will be.
Rock is tough. It's got balls. It's not afraid to do it's thing and say whatever it wants.
Emo is a poor copycat. It's got no balls.It's all poor-me. My life's a mess. I wish I was tough but this is as good as it's ever likely to get.

Yes they are different but MCR is not emo, it never was emo, and it never will be emo, so don't ever call MCR emo!!!!!!!!
